Come with Wendy to Vietnam and Bangkok in November, it will be a great time to pick up Christmas gifts, get yourself a new outfit made for those Christmas parties and see some new and exciting places and just have a great time.
The tour is 11days ex Brisbane (although if you want to depart from another city it can easily be arranged) it includes all accommodation with breakfast at some fantastic hotels, the charming Sofitel Metropole in Hanoi, the riverside Hoi An Life Resort in picturesque port town of Hoi An with unique old quarter dating back to the 15th century and the wonderful Rembrandt Hotel in Bangkok.
We will have an overnight cruise on the World Natural Heritage listed Halong Bay with its limestone island and caves on the superb Ginger Junk, a wooden junk that combines classic beauty with modern comfort. In Hanoi we will have an awesome rickshaw ride through the Old Quarter of Hanoi and visits to a local silk village and a pottery village. There will be visits to Vietnam Quilts and a well known art gallery.
In Hoi An we will have a cooking class at the Red Bridge Cooking School and better still eat what we have cooked.
There will be time to have clothes and shoes made and a walking tour of this delightful village with a local guide.
In Bangkok we will go to the factory outlet for the internationally known Jim Thomson fabrics and also visit Almeta Fabrics whose silks combine contemporary Asian colours with traditional Thai hand weaving methods. There will be time to shop at the lovely Silom Village with its Thai designer stores, restaurants and coffee shops. We will visit Pantip Plaza, home to all sorts of electrical goods
The cost also includes an exciting evening out in Bangkok and a cocktail party before we fly home.
All this and we will have lots of magnificent meals included along the way.
